Answers to common questions people have before they place their order:

When should I order my announcements?

While Signature Announcements has no specific deadline for ordering, you will need to allow enough time before the ceremony to receive your announcements and send them out 2 weeks prior or up to 2 weeks after. Our standard processing time is approximately 2 to 3 weeks. If you are using the Announcements as Invitations, you may wish to allow additional time when mailing out of the state/country and for those people you will be inviting to the ceremony. When using Announcements as Invitations, we recommend placing a RUSH on your order to guarantee a delivery date.

What information do I need before placing my Order?

You will need to verify certain information before placing your order with Signature Announcements. Please keep in mind that although Signature Announcements has certain information regarding your commencement, schools may often change information at the last minute. Please verify the following information with your Registrar's office before ordering:

  • Your Degree Major
  • Your Commencement Location and Time
  • Graduation Date
  • Any Honors or Minors you would like placed on the announcement (Optional)
  • Your Department (i.e. College of Business, College of Agriculture - also Optional)
  • You Do Not need to obtain your diploma size when ordering a Diploma Frame from Signature Announcements. Signature Announcements has already obtained this information from your University.

What is the difference between Announcement Styles & Packages?

First, you must choose a style of Announcement that you prefer. We have several Styles to choose from:

The Platinum Tri-Panel Style, which is the sample we send in the mail.

(Please note: Platinum is not a color - it is the name of the style).

The Elegant Style and an Economy Style (please review our Announcement Styles).

Second, once you have chosen your style, you can choose ANY package with your Style of Announcement.

You can Mix and Match any Package (Basic, Deluxe or Professional), but you cannot mix and match Announcement Styles (Economy, Elegant or Platinum).

Our Platinum Tri-Panel announcement is our most popular style. Our Professional Package is our most popular package. Most students select the Platinum style along with a Professional package when ordering their graduation announcements!

Questions about Envelopes?

  • You will not need to select Gold or Silver foil for your envelopes. We automatically match the colors according to your school.
  • If you've ordered a Deluxe or Basic Package, your Announcement Envelopes can be upgraded to Foil-lined Envelopes when you purchase a Smart Package Upgrade online.
  • The Inner envelope fits the announcement snug. The Inner envelope is normally placed inside of an outer envelope for proper etiquette. Our Inner envelopes are suitable for mailing.
  • The Outer Envelope, slightly Larger, is the Mailing Envelope. The Outer Envelope is used as proper etiquette when sending Announcements.
  • Please visit our etiquette page for proper use of announcement envelopes.
  • Foil-lined envelopes are FREE when you purchase a Professional Package! Plain Envelopes are standard and do not contain a foil lining.

Do I need my Diploma before ordering a Frame?

No. Signature Announcements, Inc. obtains your diploma dimensions from your University before each semester begins. Once you place your Diploma Frame order, Signature Announcements customizes your matting to fit your Diploma perfectly.

What are School-approved Logos or Monogrammed items?

School-Approved Logos can be placed on Return Address Labels and Envelope Seals and they are available at most Universities. It may not be the actual University's seal that has been approved on a specific item, yet it is approved and is registered by your University. Once you login/register at our website, you will receive more information in regards to your school specific logos, and if they are available, or you may e-mail customer service with your inquiry at CustomerService@signaturea.com. If your school has not yet approved to have a logo on these specified items, you will have the option to have them Professionally Monogrammed! [Mono-gram] a design consisting of up to 4 alphabetic letters combined or interlaced, commonly one's initials, often printed on stationery, embroidered on clothing, etc.

Questions about placing payment information online/other options?

Our website is Secured using the latest in 128 Bit SSL Security. The same security used by many banks in the United States. However, if you do not wish to place your payment information online, you do not have to. We have an option for students to Mail or Phone in their payment. This way your order will already be submitted, awaiting only payment information via phone or mail.

What are the Shipping Methods/How long?

Standard shipping takes approximately 2-3 weeks. There is no guaranteed delivery date.
